Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage.  Project Inspire is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  Thanks to National Lottery players, we are now in a position to commence restoration and reordering work in the church building.

We are on the move!

Project Inspire is the once in a generation opportunity to reorder and restore the medieval Grade 1 listed church of St. Lawrence in Lechlade.

There are four main objectives:

  • Conserving our heritage
  • Making bold improvements
  • Creating welcoming spaces
  • Reducing our carbon footprint

Plus:

  • a new, raised stone floor with flexible seating.
  • new eco heating, lighting, AV system.
  • kitchen and toilet facilities at the back of church.

We need to move out of the church building for 10-11 months to enable the work to happen.

The last service will be on Sunday 18th January 2026.
