As Christians we seek to worship Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in every area of our lives and to work together as God’s people to serve Him and others. We believe we are called to be salt and light in our community and to reach out with the good news that we can all enjoy a personal relationship with God through Jesus. Jesus called himself ‘the Light of the World’, and at St Lawrence we seek to reflect His light to our community in a range of contexts:
- serving those in need by supporting the local Foodbank and the local branch of Christians Against Poverty
- offering opportunities to investigate and grow in the Christian Faith through small groups and courses
- seeking to provide pastoral care for those in our community who may value support, both one-to-one and through our new Parish visiting group ‘In Touch’
- fostering close links with St Lawrence CE School, with many church members helping with clubs, worship, leadership, reading
- holding a variety of services – from regular Sunday services to ones held in the Trout Inn for Christmas, Easter and Harvest, and services in the local sheltered accommodation complex
- giving financially to support all aspects of our ministry – click here
