Guy Fishman

Serenade and Sandwiches — our lunchtime series of recitals continues with Guy Fishman playing Bach cello suites. Guy is one of America’s foremost cellists, section leader of the Handel & Haydn Society of Boston, the oldest orchestra in the USA. Recital at noon; free admission plus light refreshments and wine; donations will be asked for.

Guy holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music. As a Fulbright Fellow, he worked with famed Dutch cellist Anner Bylsma in Amsterdam. He has recorded for the Centaur, Telarc, Titanic, and Newport Classics labels. He plays a rare cello made in Rome in 1704 by David Tecchler.
