As we celebrate the Christ-Child born as Saviour of the world, we invite you to our churches this Christmas. Below are listed some of our special Christmas services and events. Those marked # are especially suited to those with younger families.

A service of carols and readings as we lead into the Christmas period, with candles.
Monday 04 December, 7.30pm
A Christmas Concert
With a specially put together Choir, there will be music for all. Songs to listen to and some to participate in, wear your Christmas jumper and come and have some fun! Tickets, £10 on the door, include mince pies and mulled wine (under 16s free entry).

Carols at the Trout
A short carol service at The Trout Inn near St John’s Lock on the Faringdon Road.
Sunday 10 December, 4pm
Town Carols at the Memorial Hall#
Carols for the Community at the Memorial Hall.
Sunday 17 December, 5pm
Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
A traditional service of readings and carols for Christmas.
Sunday 24 December – Christmas Eve
4.00pm Crib Service#
Especially for children, a telling of the Christmas story and a chance to dress up.
11.15pm First Christmas Communion
The first service of Holy Communion for Christmas. The choir will be singing carols around the piano from 11pm, our service will begin at 11.15pm.
Monday 25 December – Christmas Day
8.00am Short spoken Christmas Communion
This service is a short, spoken Holy Communion following the traditional BCP liturgy
10.00am Family Communion#*
An opportunity for the whole family to join together to celebrate the birth of Christ in a service of Holy Communion using contemporary Common Worship liturgy, with carols. The service will be live-streamed.
